On October 24, 2012 the Philadelphia Zoo held an event at a cascading farm in New Hope to launch a pilot program, “to bring neighbors together to learn more about the sustainable agriculture and rare breed animal partnerships between the Philadelphia Zoo and farm – owners in our community”, stated Damaris South, Director of Major Gifts and Planned Giving. Guests dined on the cuisine provided through Catering by Design, and enjoyed a presentation of rare animals by the Zoo on Wheels team. By the conclusion of the event, all of the invited guests were on board to participate with the launch of the “sustainability” program. Prior to the event, Joey Roberts, our CEO made a monetary contribution to the new program; another way REG is giving back to the community.
