Philadelphia’s premium entertainment venue, The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts opened in 2001. Kimmel Center Inc.’s mission is to operate a state of the art performance center that engages and serves a broad audience throughout the Greater Philadelphia region. From Broadway shows, operatic performances, world-renowned jazz artist to international dance troops, this entertainment site offers something for everyone.
Today Kimmel Center, Inc. incorporates public amenities and operates three major venues:
Verizon Hall has 2,500-seats in the Concert Hall
Perelman Theater has 650-seats in the Recital Theater
Innovation Studio is the 2,688 sq. ft. Black Box Theater

The Academy of Music has undergone recent renovations and upgrades
The venue is 2,900 sq. ft. (Owned by the Philadelphia Orchestra)

The Merriam Theater
- The theater has 1,841 seats (Owned by the University of the Arts)
